Doppler<\/a> adds a new type of Automation so you can continue exploring and expanding your business opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is ‘Automation by Website Activity’?<\/b><\/h1>\n

It allows you to see how your users navigate your website. By configuring one or more domains, you can track visits, link them to email addresses and activate automatic actions based on behaviour.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you have used Email Automation before, this process will be familiar. The difference is that here, the process begins when a user visits a page on your site. From there, you can add conditions, associate lists, send emails and more.<\/span><\/p>\n

Follow the steps below to discover how to use Website Activity Automation to improve your results.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step one: configure the domain to start an Automation by Website Activity<\/b><\/h2>\n

  1. First, you must add the domain you want to track to your Automation. To do this, go to:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Profile Photo – Control Panel – Campaign Preferences – Onsite Tracking, Push Notifications, and Onsite<\/b><\/p>\n

    2. Click on New Domain<\/b><\/h3>\n

    💡<\/b> DopplerTip: Make sure to enable only the domains where you will implement tracking actions. This will facilitate verification and optimize Automation performance.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

      Enter the domains you want to track.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      You can add up to 20 different domains to track.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Keep in mind that the same Doppler account can track multiple domains, but the same domain cannot be registered in more than one account.<\/span><\/p>\n

      💡 DopplerTip: Be sure to include the www. prefix if applicable to avoid verification errors.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

      4. Insert the Tracking Code into your Site<\/b><\/h3>\n

      How to insert the tracking code in Tag Manager<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

      Once the domain is registered, you will receive a Tracking Code that you must insert into all the pages you want to track.<\/span><\/p>\n

      You can do this in two ways:<\/span><\/p>\n

      \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0A.By pasting the code directly into the <head> tag of your website’s HTML.<\/span><\/p>\n

      \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0B.By inserting it using Google Tag Manager.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Now:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      1. Click on \u201cTag.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n
      2. Select the \u201cCustom HTML Tag\u201d option and paste the Tracking Code into the first line of the box.<\/span><\/li>\n
      3. Scroll down and, under \u201cAdvanced Settings,\u201d select the \u201cAll Pages\u201d option.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        If you prefer to do it manually, you must enter your site’s HTML and paste the Tracking Code before the closing <\/header> tag.<\/span><\/p>\n

        1. <\/b> Verify the registered domain<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          To complete the setup, browse at least once through the pages where you inserted the Tracking Code. Simply visiting them will be enough for the system to recognize them and verify the domain.<\/span><\/p>\n

          ⚠️ This action is essential to complete the process. If you do not browse, you will not be able to start your Automation flows.<\/span><\/p>\n
