Find out more<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">!<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><b>What is &#8216;Automation by Website Activity&#8217;?<\/b><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It allows you to see how your users navigate your website. By configuring one or more domains, you can track visits, link them to email addresses and activate automatic actions based on behaviour.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have used Email Automation before, this process will be familiar. The difference is that here, the process begins when a user visits a page on your site. From there, you can add conditions, associate lists, send emails and more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Follow the steps below to discover how to use Website Activity Automation to improve your results.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Step one: configure the domain to start an Automation by Website Activity<\/b><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First, you must add the domain you want to track to your Automation. Insert the Tracking Code into your Site<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><img class=\"alignnone wp-image-12554\" src=\"https:\/\/help.fromdoppler.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Screenshot-2025-11-12-172721-2-300x278.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"556\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.fromdoppler.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Screenshot-2025-11-12-172721-2-300x278.png 300w, https:\/\/help.fromdoppler.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Screenshot-2025-11-12-172721-2.png 352w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><em><strong>How to insert the tracking code in Tag Manager<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the domain is registered, you will receive a Tracking Code that you must insert into all the pages you want to track.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can do this in two ways:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0A.By pasting the code directly into the &lt;head&gt; tag of your website&#8217;s HTML.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0B.By inserting it using Google Tag Manager.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click on \u201cTag.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select the \u201cCustom HTML Tag\u201d option and paste the Tracking Code into the first line of the box.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scroll down and, under \u201cAdvanced Settings,\u201d select the \u201cAll Pages\u201d option.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you prefer to do it manually, you must enter your site&#8217;s HTML and paste the Tracking Code before the closing &lt;\/header&gt; tag.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li><b><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Verify the registered domain<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To complete the setup, browse at least once through the pages where you inserted the Tracking Code. Simply visiting them will be enough for the system to recognize them and verify the domain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#x26a0;&#xfe0f; This action is essential to complete the process. For example, if you expect the action to happen quickly (such as completing a purchase), you can use a short interval; if it is a more prolonged decision, set a longer time frame.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<ol start=\"9\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Define the frequency of re-entry into the flow<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Indicate how often the same Subscriber can re-enter the flow.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0This setting prevents a person from receiving multiple Campaigns for repeatedly meeting the same conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can define the period according to your Strategy and the type of communication you carry out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Available options:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once only<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every 3 months<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every 6 months<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#x1f4a1; DopplerTip: Adjust this value according to the frequency of your Campaigns. Let&#8217;s get started!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"create-autom\"><b>Example of Automation by Website Activity<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Using a website that sells vacation packages as an example, we will show you how to set up the flow.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The automation will be triggered when a subscriber browses any of the pages defined in the initial conditions.
