What is the difference between a Contact Plan and a Credit Plan?

The key difference lies in the payment method and scope. With Contact Plans of Doppler , you pay a fixed monthly fee, whereas with Credit Plans, you only pay when you make a purchase. Each one also works differently depending on your needs. Let’s take a look at the details.

Premium plans by contacts:

Do you regularly send email marketing campaigns? These are the ideal Doppler plans for you! The number of contacts in your account is used as a reference, and you can send unlimited emails to all of them. 

If you acquire or import new contacts and the total exceeds the amount specified in your plan, Doppler will notify you that you have contacts waiting to be activated. Simply upgrade your plan to a higher one to activate them. You will then be able to send unlimited campaigns to those new contacts.

Important information: Discounts for advance payment

Another advantage of Contact Plans is that they offer discounts for paying in advance for 3, 6 or 12 months. These are the only Doppler plans that offer this benefit.

• Advance payment for three months: 5% discount.
• Advance payment for six months: 15% discount.
• Pay in advance for 12 months and receive a 25% discount.

Please note that these discounts apply to all payment methods, including international debit or credit cards (Visa, Mastercard or American Express) and bank transfer.

Please bear in mind that our billing cycle begins on the first day of each month. You will therefore receive your invoice on that day.

Premium Plans by Credits

These plans are ideal for users who send campaigns occasionally, as they do not require a monthly subscription to the service. Instead, they are managed through one-off purchases of credits.

The more credits you purchase, the lower the unit cost per email.

One credit equals one email sent. As you send campaigns, credits will be deducted from your total. For example, sending to 1,000 contacts will deduct 1,000 credits.

What should I do if I need a plan that exceeds those offered by Contacts or Credits?

In that case, we recommend considering a Premium Plan for Mailings, as the unit cost per email decreases the more campaigns you send. Please note that, like the Contact Plans, these plans are paid for every month. Unlike Credit Plans, any unused mailings in a given month do not accumulate.
