How to Unlock a Contact List?
A Blocked List may appear when importing contacts into Doppler, and learning how to reverse this situation is key to creating successful Email Campaigns. The goal of preventative blocking is to prevent emails from being sent that could harm your reputation and jeopardize the effectiveness of your messages from contacts flagged on blacklists. What is a Blocked List when importing contacts?
To ensure your domain doesn’t end up on a blacklist, we’ll help you protect your reputation and your open rate. The Blocked List notification will help you achieve much more efficient campaign sending.
There are different ways to import contacts into Doppler, whether manually via the API, synchronization with an integration tool, entering contacts via a form, or through automation. From there, it will be determined whether the percentage of emails is suspicious or not, and if not, whether the list is blocked or not. You’ll see this reflected in the following:
Once you have a Blocked List in your grid, you will no longer be able to send any kind of mailings. You will also not be able to create a form based on this list, add more contacts manually, or perform bulk imports. For clarification, you will be able to import contacts to other unblocked lists.
How to Revert a Blocked List
Once the contact import is complete and the list has been blocked, you will have the option to revert the last import. This feature will quickly and easily unblock the list.
By clicking the revert icon, the last import you performed will be canceled and the list will return to its original state prior to the last contact import. Want to know how to debug a reverted list? Here’s how.
Blocked Lists and Segments
Created Segments can also be blocked, just like Lists. This will be reflected in the segment grid with a label indicating the Blocked Segment.
One scenario in which this block can occur is if a Segment is associated with a List and the List is blocked after the Segment is created. This will also be blocked. This is resolved by going to Edit Criteria to deselect the Blocked Lists associated with the Segment.
Keep in mind that if the Segment is blocked, you won’t be able to convert it to the Primary List, as it’s not possible to use Blocked Lists to send to them, nor can you use Segments associated with Blocked Lists.
