Report of Contacts not imported
In this article, you will learn how to access a report of which Subscribers on your List are not imported correctly and why, so that you can review it and adapt your Strategy to improve it.
How do I access this Report?
Once you access your account in Doppler, click on Contacts in the Lists section. There you will see the Master List of Contacts. This contains all the contacts that were ever part of your account, even those that have been removed. If you want to see any of them in detail, you can click on the icons on the right or export the complete list to analyze it.
Contacts not imported to the List may be due to one of the errors below:
- Header issues: Contacts that cannot be entered because the file to be imported does not have the first row of fields to map them. That is, the first row of the document is empty or contains errors and Doppler does not associate the data with a specific field.
- Invalid Emails: They present some type of formatting, syntax or writing problem, either because the @ is missing, contains symbols, spaces, etc. It also includes addresses with domains @facebook @mercadolibre among others, which although they have correct syntax, are not addresses to which you can send Email Marketing Campaigns.
- Duplicate Contacts: In the same Excel or text file that you have imported, the user is entered twice, so Doppler will upload it to your List only once.
- Removed by Hard Bounce: Contacts that have not been uploaded to the List because they have generated this type of bounce. To learn more, read this article!
- Removed by Soft Bounce: Contacts that have not been uploaded to the List because they have reached the maximum number of consecutive soft bounces, according to the configuration selected by you from the Control Panel of your Doppler account.
- Removed by Subscriber: Contacts that have not been uploaded in this new entry, because they have been previously removed from your Lists already uploaded in Doppler.
- Removed by Client: The Contact has previously requested to be removed from your Lists and you have complied with their request. If their Email is in the new uploaded List, Doppler will detect it and will not add them as an imported contact since it will respect the previous decision not to be part of them.
- Removed by Internal Policies: These are Contacts that Doppler detects and marks as suspicious for different reasons, or generic addresses associated with internal roles of an organization. In this article you can learn more about Internal Removal Policies.
In addition, you can download the summary of import errors. If you have more questions, in this article you can review the recommended practices to prepare a Contact import file correctly.
You now have your Report of Non-Imported Contacts and you can review the errors and optimize your Lists to improve your Sendings. Good luck with your Campaigns! 🙂
